A comprehensive platform that empowers users to improve their overall health and well-being through personalised coaching and wellness programs with challenges, rewards, and real-time communication.
We contributed significantly to the development of the Wellness Coach platform by:
MicrocosmWorks built the Wellness Coach platform on a microservices architecture using Node.js, deployed on AWS Lambda and Amazon CloudWatch for auto-scaling. Each service handles a specific domain such as user profiles, challenges, rewards, and real-time messaging, communicating through event-driven patterns. This architecture allows independent scaling of high-traffic services like the challenge engine during peak engagement periods.
MicrocosmWorks implemented an Elasticsearch-backed recommendation engine that analyzes user health profiles, activity history, and preference data to generate personalized daily challenges and wellness programs. The system uses collaborative filtering and content-based algorithms to continuously refine recommendations as users complete activities, with Redis caching ensuring sub-second response times for the mobile and web interfaces.
MicrocosmWorks integrated OKTA for enterprise-grade authentication with SSO and MFA support, combined with role-based access control for coaches, administrators, and end users. User health data is encrypted at rest in MongoDB and MySQL, with all API communications secured via TLS. The platform follows healthcare data handling best practices to protect personally identifiable wellness information.
Yes, MicrocosmWorks designed the gamification engine to be fully configurable for corporate deployments. Companies can create custom challenge types, define reward tiers, set team-based competitions, and track participation through admin dashboards. The rewards system supports points, badges, leaderboards, and real-world incentive redemption, all manageable through the platform's administration panel without code changes.
MicrocosmWorks developed the Wellness Coach platform over approximately 16-20 weeks, covering the React frontend, Node.js microservices backend, mobile-responsive interfaces, and integrations with AWS, Elasticsearch, Redis, and OKTA. At MicrocosmWorks development rates of $15-$35/hr, a platform of similar scope typically costs between $30,000-$60,000 depending on the number of wellness modules and integration requirements.
